About Diala Steitieh, M.D.
I am an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Presbyterian Hospital. My clinical practice is in general cardiology, with a focus on preventative care, coronary artery disease, sports cardiology, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and valvular heart disease. In addition to seeing patients in the office at Weill Greenberg Center, I serve as an attending physician on the inpatient services at New York Presbyterian Hospital, including the intensive care unit and cardiology floor units. I also interpret echocardiograms and nuclear stress tests. I work closely with other physicians from varied specialties to provide compassionate, individualized and high quality care.
Dr Diala Steitieh completed an accelerated premedical program followed by a medical degree from Weill-Cornell Medicine in Qatar. After graduating she moved to New York where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine. After becoming board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr Steitieh completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Weill Cornell Medicine, where she served as chief fellow.
She is a member of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association, and participates in outcomes research within the division of Cardiology.
